All AAEN events, including parkday and classes, are open to all homeschoolers. Any homeschooler is welcome to join AAEN's yahoogroup discussion list, by clicking the purple icon at the bottom of this page and following the instructions given by yahoo. It is how we stay in touch with our AAEN community between weekly gatherings. There is no charge to join this list.

We used to have a formal membership process, and we collected membership fees to cover bank charges, party supplies, web hosting, and room rental fees for holiday potlucks and other indoor events. At present we are operating as a more relaxed, informal group. We have a reserve to cover our basic costs. If we become larger and start doing more expensive things as a group, some sort of membership application and/or fee structure may need to be reinstated. This would be decided by the members active in AAEN at that time. There have never been salaries in AAEN - members generously volunteer their time.

We no longer require a written Participation agreement, but we do ask all participants in AAEN activities to remember that you are responsible for your own children at all times. We have no dedicated clean-up crew at potlucks or parkdays. None of our activities are drop-off.
